So aside from being completely unmissable at this year’s festival – who are ‘Rodrigo y Gabriela’? Based in Ireland, this ex-pat Mexican acoustic guitar duo is huge in Europe and now practically a household name in the US. They’ve sold out five stateside tours in 2006/2007, and their songs have being playlisted on numerous influential US radio stations.

Their current set includes everything from jazz standards, covers of Metallica’s ‘Orion’ and Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ plus a host of world music jaw droppers and a few surprises which feature their unique blend of Spanish guitar, Latin rhythms, heavy metal and jazz.
